After
the success of Vettaiyadu Vilayadu, director
Gautham Menon has progressed on to his
next directorial project. This film is
said to include in its cast two important
actors of VV. Prakash Raj is also expected
to play a key role in this film. The story
for this film is alleged to be lifted
from a Hollywood flick called ‘Gangsters’.
Of course Gautham has altered the main
theme so as to suit the Tamil scenario.
He is planning to showcase the characters
as someone belonging to Chennai.
Meanwhile
his other project involving Jyothika
is almost complete. The film was initially
called Silandhi while we called it
as Parundhu. But Silandhi and Parundhu
have given way to the elegant parrot.
The film is titled ‘Pachaikili
Muthucharam’ now. Sarathkumar
plays the lead and Radhika is producing
the film for Raadaan films. Gautham’s
lucky mascot Harris Jayaraj will take
care of music department. In addition
to these features, Milind Soman former
model from Mumbai has also been roped
in. this would be Milind’s first
Tamil film. This film has been categorized
as a suspense thriller.
Grapevine
says that Gautham Menon has looked to
the west for inspiration for this film
too. This time he is said to be directing
the film on the lines of a film called
‘Derailed’ where blackmail
forms the central theme. The director
is increasingly getting reputed to be
known as someone who lifts the plot from
various sources. The truth will emerge
once the film hits the silver screen.
