SJ Surya, Cheran, Bhagyaraj, are
just some of the names, who have
directed films as well as acted
in films, and directed and acted
in the same film as well. The recent
entry into the bandwagon is Simbu
with his Vallavan, and Sundar C
with Thalainagaram. We have often
heard that acting and direction
go hand in hand, but one probably
never expected it to merge as one!

Following
Sundar C's success as an actor, many
other directors in the industry have
also been bitten buy the acting bug.
Linguswamy, who has given us many
hits recently, is the latest. It is
true that at one point he had decided
to act later and concentrate for the
time being on direction alone, but
after Thalainagaram's success, he
wants to act too. Currently working
on the film Bheema with Vikram and
Trisha, Linguswamy is getting ready
for his acting venture once he finishes
Bheema.
And then there is Perarasu who is
also thinking of acting. His brother,
who is planning to make his film Pandigai,
with SJ Surya as the actor, is now
indefinitely shelved. Now with Perarasu
wanting to act, we can only wait and
watch the outcome of this film. Will
it be SJ Surya or Perarasu?
