Vijayakanth
the once captain of Nadigar sangam
and the current president of DMDK
party is to appear before the Egmore
magistrate in Chennai on Feb 21st.
Earlier Minister Arcot Veerasamy had
filed the case against Vijayakanth
for his comments against DMK president
and Chief Minister M.Karunanidhi.
Vijayakanth's
house and DMDK office were raided by Income Tax
department and had seized some documents. Vijayakanth
said that Karunanidhi was behind the raid and
it was a personal vendetta. This comment did not
go down well with the DMK party men which prompted
Thiru Veerasamy to file a defamation case against
Vijayakanth. Meanwhile Vijayakanth starrer Sabari
is also facing a problem. This time Captain has
nothing to do with it. The tiff is between the
producer Salem A. Chandhrasekaran and actress
Malavika on remuneration matters. Vijayakanth
is doing a role of a doctor and his fans and party
men are waiting eagerly for the release of the
movie.
