He
is now taking a break after all the
work that he put in for Guru. Accolades
are flowing in from all quarters and
he is enjoying himself. Mani Ratnam
has proved once again that he is the
best. He has just managed to skyrocket
the career of another actor, this
time the beneficiary being Abhishek
Bachchan.
Now
everyone wants to know what the Madras Talkies
man will be doing next. Lajjo was on the cards
until talks surfaced that he had plans of doing
a movie with the Superstar.
But according to latest reports, Lajjo has been
finalized. We do not know much about the proposed
Superstar movie. The star cast; well that had
been finalized quite some time back. Aamir Khan
and Kareena Kapoor will be in the lead. Other
details are awaited.
Aamir Khan has now got himself busy with the Hindi
remake of Gajini and Kareena is currently shooting
for an item number. Both of them are not immediately
available. But one never thought that the movie
would be slated to begin as late as December this
year. Yes, it is true; Lajjo will begin only in
December. But then, such delays are expected when
three big names of the industry are involved.
It also gives Mani Ratnam a lot of time to think,
rethink and perfect the script. It is hard to
satisfy Aamir. But that also means that we will
have to wait at least a year to see the movie.
We can be assured that Lajjo will be worth the
wait.
