own, then why not one for himself.
This must have been the thoughts that
persuaded Ajay Devgan to launch his
own website on Monday (05.02.07).
It might seem to have come a few
years
late for this man who has managed to earn the
respect of the critics and the cheer of the audiences.
A national award for his performance in Mahesh
Bhatt’s Zakhm was what brought him on the
pedestal of performers. He had been just another
action hero till then. After Zakhm he went on
to do many more challenging roles. Prakash Jha’s
Apaharan and Gangaajal, Raincoat, Vishaal Bhardwaj’s
Omkaara to name a few.
He has not let his commercial image suffer at
the hand of ‘offbeat’ cinema. He was
part of last year’s successful comic caper
Golmaal proving that he is good at making people
laugh. He is currently working in Rajkumar Santhoshi’s
Halla Bol and has plans underway to direct a home
production. He also has Ramgopal Varma Ki Sholay.
His plate looks definitely full.
He may have just perfectly timed the launch of
his website. His career has never looked better.
His fans must certainly be delighted. Their hero
is just a click away now.
