The
Screen Cine awards for 2006 is around
the corner and speculations are already
on who will take home the awards.
As always this award is not without
controversy. When some blame the procedure
of selection of winners, the organizers
of this mega event have opened a can
of worms. According to them, one of
the leading stars has asked Rupees
1.5 crore as remuneration to perform
for a song in the event.
Unconfirmed
reports suggest that the star was none other than
Abhishek Bachchan. Close associates of Abhishek
Bachchan have refuted such charges against him.
They say Abhishek is not a person for money and
since he is busy with his shooting schedule, he
has refused the offer from the organizers to perform
for a song. Abhishek Bachchan was not available
for any comments. But it is learnt that he would
meet the press to clear his name from this controversy.
