being a successful director, Shankar
proved the world – Tamil cinema
atleast – that he is not short
of a successful producer in the year
2006. Imsai Arasan, his home production
turned out to be the highest grosser
this year. The movie has reportedly
churned out loads of money –
20 crores – and attained a box
office status.
Repeating
the history, his Veyil seems to be attracting
more audiences to the theatres. Though initial
response wasn’t favorable for the movie,
constructive reviews from the media rendered a
helping hand in elevating the movie’s box
office status. Brilliant performances coupled
with meticulous story telling have worked wonders
for the movie.
Meanwhile, to celebrate the success of Veyil,
Shankar recently threw a party to all the crewmembers
of the movie recently. It is also reported that
he has promised each crewmember a surprise gift
on the 50th day of the movie. Any guesses out
