Looks like Simbu's woes do not seem to ebb. Kaala team left for Pondy for shooting on April 2nd amidst much fanfare. With just eight days of filming the stunt sequences alone, the entire unit is back in town.According to the team, the only actors booked for the movie is the
lead pair, Simbu and Vedika. Insiders reveal that even Vedika was booked just one day before the team left for Pondy and none of the scenes shot so far has her presence. This has raised a speculation whether the director is considering a change in the cast again.
Rekha, veteran Bollywood actress and Gemini Ganesan's daughter and 'Uyir' Sangeetha are expected to don the greasepaint for significant roles in Kaala, but this again seems to be in a fluid state as well.
When Prakash Raj was approached for the villain role he declined it stating that he is too busy with other projects. This prompted the director to approach Lal, who may accept the role in all probability. The shooting is expected to recommence as soon as the star selection is finalized.
