By Behindwoods News Bureau.
April 9, 2007
Chennai 600028 is produced by the singing legend S.P. Balasubramaniam 's heir apparent Charan and directed by Gangai Amaran's son Venkat Prabu. Ilayaraja's youngest son Yuvan Sankar Raja scores the background music. It is interesting

to note that this movie involves the heirs of many musicians who impacted the Tamil movie industry in a big way. Director Venkat Prabu said Chennai 600028 does not talk about the Indian cricket team, though the central theme revolves around cricket. He said that the movie is a pure entertainer with no specific message and talks about friendship and the problems arising out of it and clarified that it is no way connected with Aamir Khan's Lagan.

The story goes like this: North Chennai and South Chennai cricket teams clash for titles and the hero's team is in Mandaveli. Many young and new faces who have been selected as friends were given rigorous training in the sets for a month and a half before the actual shooting started. The movie is expected to be released soon!
