SJ Surya's earlier films “Vaali' and 'Khushi'
were in a class of their own. He then progressed
to making films that are a vertiable treat for
the front benchers. While ‘New’
and ‘Anbe Aruiyire’ did reasonably
well, it also attracted a lot of flak. Several
women's groups were up in arms protesting against
the raunchy dialogues. Even when he acts in
films directed by others, for instance, ‘Kalvanin
Kadhali,’ he gets to do only roles of
a Casanova or a ladies man. In a volte-face,
the master of double entendre is likely to come
out with a 'squeaky clean' family entertainer.
SJ Surya has announced plans of making a film
titled “Pesum Deivangal' that women and
children will enjoy. He said the storyline is
ready and shooting will commence soon. Looks
like he is trying to get rid of his 'playboy'
image.
