His Alwarpet house has been turned into his office and it is from there he transacts all his business. As we said earlier, he has plans to construct a shopping mall associated with cinema there. It nowadays takes a little bit extra time to reach any events or function, since he gets caught in traffic jam. The house in Neelangarai is a huge one and Kamal likes it. He also threw a new year party here, attracting a huge VIP crowd from the industry. Recently, the house owner offered to sell the house to Kamal but the guy declined. “It’s a huge sum. If I invested that money in a movie, I can earn many folds,” Kamal is reported to have said.
