AVM Productions and Spirit-Nipuna will together
set up a digital color lab at AVM Studios, Chennai.
Spirit Nipuna is a joint venture between Nipuna
Services Limited, Satyam’ s BPO arm, and
Spirit, a part of Ramanaidu Studios, Hyderabad.
The cine support facility will be the first
of its kind in Chennai, and will offer ‘digital
color correction’, a much sought after
technology. Earlier, film makers had to seek
such services outside Chennai. In fact, the
digital post-production of Tirupathi was done
at the Spirit-Nipuna centre at Hyderabad. As
of now, the digital post-production for Rajni’s
Sivaji is being shipped to Mumbai. However,
once the facility is launched in June, it is
expected that the post-production for Sivaji
will take place right here in Chennai itself.
