In a dramatic and unexpected move, Actor Sarath Kumar, one of the leading figures of the DMK party, quit the party, tendering his resignation papers to the Party leader, M Karunanidhi. The move came as a surprise even to the industry people. Sarath Kumar expressed to the party leadership that he was dissatisfied with the way he had been treated by the top people in the party. He also regretted that for all his services to the party he was not given any plum post. The actor said that he still held the party leader in great respect. Sarath Kumar, say political observers, is likely to join the ADMK and even canvass for Jayalalithaa, the ADMK supremo, at the hustings. Meanwhile, Radhika Sarath Kumar finds herself in a real fix.
