Sivaji? Manivannan’s ‘nakkal and nayyandi’
April 10, 2006

Manivannan

Director, villain, comedian, all bundled into one, Manivannan is not a free man today. Wherever he goes he is mobbed and he is bulldozed into speaking about the superstar’s movie Sivaji for he is playing a role in the film. But how he can speak? Shankar has strictly ordered that the artistes shall not discuss the movie even with family folks. At a function, Manivannan was once again cornered by a mob who wanted something from him about Sivaji. Well, the comedian consented to speak. He calmed the group and began: “What should I tell you about Sivaji? He’s a great man. He played father to superstar in Padaiyappa. Who can forget the powerful dialogue from Parasakthi?” before the crowd could realize that it was made a sucker of, the guy escaped.
