Making
a departure from the two-language formula,
the party proposed to introduce three languages,
Tamil, English and any other Indian language
of the student’s choice. Building
a modern state capital near Chennai to ease
the congestion on the city is also mooted.
Keeping up with his Mr. Clean image, he
has promised an efficient and corruption-free
administration, besides instituting enquiries
under a High Court judge to seize properties
acquired by corrupt means. Pledging a monthly
subsistence allowance of Rs. 500 for the
benefit of women and girl children in poor
families, the party has also promised free
power to farmers besides free distribution
of religious scriptures to people of all
faiths. |
