AVM Productions has announced that ‘Tirupathi’
will be released on April 13th, one day before
Tamil New year. This is not the first time AVM
has chosen to release its film ahead of the
planned schedule. It may be recalled AVM’s
‘Gemini’ was released on April 12th
itself and went on to become a super duper hit.
With almost all new films slated for a Tamil
New Year release, AVM’s decision may be
a marketing ruse to better the chances of a
good opening for the film. In an industry where
sentiments and superstitions run hand in hand
with business strategies, AVM is optimistic
that the film will be a success as it is getting
released on a full moon day.
