Forthcoming
release Aaranya Kandam, produced by SPB Charan,
is in the news already before its release.
It has been announced that Aaranya Kaandam,
directed by newcomer Thiagarajan Kumararaja,
has been selected for the South Asian International
Film Festival to be held in New York from
October 27 to Nov 2, 2010. Aaranya Kaandam
has Hindi actor Jackie Shroff and Yamini Ponnappa
in lead roles with Sampath in an important
role. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music
for the movie.
The SAIFF is the largest film premiere destination
for South Asian and Indian filmmakers in the
United States. It was founded in New York
to recognize the talents of emerging filmmakers
in one of the world's largest film industries.
This festival, being the largest Asian Film
festival in New York, exhibits movies and
creates a platform and gives unprecedented
exposure to film-makers. |
