Director Lingusamy is
known for giving several hits in the past,
particularly with Vishal (Sanda Kozhi),
Madhavan (Run) and Karthi (Paiyya). He is
now directing Vettai for which he had roped
in Arya as the lead star.
To a question on why he chose Arya for
the role, Lingusamy had said that Arya
had always wanted to be a part of his
project and Vettai seemed to be the right
choice. The director added that he had
no doubt that Arya would reach greater
heights than Vishal, Madhavan and Karthi.
Vettai is being produced by Durai Dayanidhi
for Cloud Nine and Yuvan Shankar Raja
will score the music.
