Nayanthara had been
banking on the Malayalam film Electra ever
since the film’s shooting commenced. She
had stated in several interviews that the
film had a powerful role for her.
Electra was due to be released this month
but trouble began when distributor Martin
Sebastian filed a petition in the Munisiff
Court seeking a stay on the release of
this film as producer Vindhyan did not
honor certain commitment made in an agreement
entered with him.
Following this, the court had issued
a stay against the release of Electra.
