Maestro Ilayaraja celebrated
his birthday at the Prasad Studios where the
shooting of Kulasekaranum Koolipadaiyum is
being shot. The director of this film, G Siva
had arranged for a free meal distribution
to about 1000 people belonging to the economically
weaker section. Speaking on the occasion,
Ilayaraja said that though he was against
celebrating his birthday in a grand manner,
he decided to grace this particular occasion
because 1000 people will be benefited.
When the media persons questioned him on whom
he considers to be his music heir, the maestro
replied that there can be no heir to music
and hence the question does not arise.
