Comedian Vadivelu announced a few
months ago that he would not star
in Guru Sishyan as the producer-director
Shakthi Chidambaram did not utilize
his call sheet. He also made it
clear that he would return the advance
amount paid to him. However, Shakthi
Chidambaram complained at the Producers’
Council that Vadivelu is not honoring
his commitment and sought an order
to have him star in the film.
Vadivelu lodged a complaint at the
Nadigar Sangam stating that his
call sheet has expired and he has
no intention to act in Guru Sishyan.
He made it clear that he would return
the advance amount.
Following this, the Nadigar Sangam
and the Producers’ Council
decided in favor of the actor. Vadivelu
agreed to pay the advance at the
Nadigar Sangam.
