Noted
actor-director Thyagarajan played Nayan’s
father in the Malayalam smash hit film Bodyguard.
When director Siddique, who is directing the
Tamil version of this film with Vijay in the
lead, wanted Thyagarajan to play the same role
but he refused it. Enquiries in Kollywood revealed
that Thyagarajan is busy directing and producing
Ponnar Shankar with his son Prashanth playing
the lead role and hence decided not to take
up the offer.
Eventually, the role was bagged by Raj Kiran,
who plays Asin’s dad in Kaavalkaran. |
