A
press note from the production house major Eros
International announces a multi-film content
licensing deal that it has signed with Rupert
Murdoch owned Star Network.
The movies that will come within the purview
of this deal are Veer and Housefull. It is important
to note that Eros had recently announced a licensing
deal with Zee Network.
Sameer Rao, General Manager Star Gold said,
“We are pleased to have acquired the exclusive
satellite TV rights for films such as VEER and
HOUSEFULL. These movies will be enjoyed by audiences
of the STAR TV network all over the world. For
us, this represents yet another significant
deal in our continuing and fruitful business
relationship with Eros.”
Pranab Kapadia, President - Distribution, Eros,
said, “This deal signifies yet another
step towards cementing further our strong relationship
with major TV Networks like Star. We try to
tailor-make packages to suit the audiences on
each network so that both sides can maximise
the potential from the television broadcast.”
