Meenakshi’s entry to Kollywood was with
Karuppasamy Kuthagaitharar and lady went on
to star in several films after that. Presently,
she is starring in the film titled Manthira
Punnagai, which is being directed by Karu Pazhaniappan,
the man who donned the director’s cap
for films like Pirivom Santhippom and Parthiban
Kanavu, is also playing the lead role in this
film.
Though the director plays the hero, it is
Meenakshi’s role that will be the highlight
of the film. The character Nandhini, which
is played by her, is said to be the all-important
role on which the film revolves. The actress
states that this Manthira Punnagai would give
her the much-deserved break that she had been
expecting in Kollywood.
