cometh the man, here cometh the movie!
Lo behold ‘Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu
is in town. The long-in-docks Kamal
Hassan starrer finally saw the light
of the day, much to the chagrin of
the masses. The movie had a grand
release in the theatres all over Tamil
Nadu and other parts of the country. |

Fan
frenzy:
Sathyam theatres saw a mass
hysteria today! The ‘First
Day First Show’ or the
FDFS syndrome had caught on
to many a euphoric fan! The
fans had started flowing in
right from 9 in the morning
to catch ‘DA MAN’,
Kamal Hassan on screen.
They had waited a long time
for this and the audience simply
lapped it up! It was truly an
atmosphere of vibrancy and celebration,
as the fans were all decked
up for the occasion. |

Cometh
the Director:
The start of the movie was delayed
for reasons unknown. The impatient
crowd got to know that, it was
for the arrival of the director
of the movie, Gautham Menon
with his family and friends.
There was a huge roar in the
aisles as soon as he walked
in.
He was surrounded by countless
admirers during the interval.
He obliged them patiently by
signing autographs for all of
them and winning their hearts!

Marked
by festivity:
The grandeur manner in which
the fans celebrated the release
of the movie, definitely pepped
up the Friday. From loud whistles
to hoots, the audience were
all geared up and the opening
scene of Kamal Hassan was marked
with a rapturous response from
the audience, who were simply
in a trance!
A band group led by nearly 60
fans went through the Whannels
Road to the Albert theatre.

Reactions:
The public reaction
to the release has indeed been
very heart-warming indeed. Numerous
fans had their day’s made
with the release of the movie.
Also a lot of them were very
satisfied with the movie and
lapped it up!
Says Ambarish, an avid Kamal
fan, “This was the movie,
which I was waiting for the
last six months. It is like
I have accomplished something
by watching this movie.”

Other
die-hard Kamal fans like Anand Raja
and Edwin were bowled over by the performance
of the super-actor.
The movie’s release has certainly
brought a festive air to the city. One
sure hopes that the movie lives up to
the expectations of the masses in the
long run!! |
