BJP announces Yogi Adityanath as new Uttar Pradesh CM

The BJP on Saturday announced five-time lawmaker Yogi Adityanath as its leader of the Legislative Assembly in Uttar Pradesh. Adityanath will reportedly take oath as the 32nd Chief Minister of the state on March 19. Adityanath is currently a sitting BJP MP in Lok Sabha from Gorakhpur. Notably, senior leader Manoj Sinha and state BJP Keshav Prasad Maurya were the front-runners for the post.
