Actor Vijaykanth had recently started a party. He had submitted an application for getting his party registered with the Chief Election Commission at Delhi. But to his dismay, his application has been rejected by the commission. There were clauses in his application which stated that all decisions related to the party would be taken by him.

The commission pointed out that this was out of the democratic ways of doing things. He has been asked to change few clauses in his application and apply again. Captain will have to be careful the next time.
It’s worth mentioning that actress Vijayashanthi’s application has been accepted by the commission.

One more interesting thing to note would be that Captain himself had acted as an Election Commissioner in one of his recent movies.
