Arindum ariyamalum was a big hit in Tamil. The debutante hero Arya and director Vishnuvardhan got a firm foothold thanks to the film. Prakashraj’s excellent portrayal won him all round applause. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music was a trendsetter to woo the youth audience.

Enthused by the success in Tamil, the film has been dubbed in Telugu and will be released shortly as Kalisunte. If the film has a good run in Telugu, it will mark a trend of more and more Tamil films finding acceptance with the Telugu audience. It will also give Arya a chance to be seen by Telugu producers.
