seeks to recreate MGR magic |

Vijayakanth
has learnt the alphabets of politics well.
This can be seen from the way he projects
his image as a seeker of justice and prosperity
for all sections of the society. In a recent
interview, he has said that he entered politics
only with the intention of doing good to
the society and that he was confident of
making a difference. He made an impassioned

everyone to join him in his mission. As
if to reinforce this image, he is seeking
to go the MGR way. MGR always used pathos
and family sentiment in his films. It helped
him win over a large population and become
the uncrowned king of Tamil Nadu. Now, Vijayakanth
is attempting to copy from some of MGR’s
memorable films. Recent example is Perarasu,
which is a lost and found story, reminiscent
of Kudiyiruntha koil of our Puratchiththalaivar. |
