celebrations give Rajini the
top rank

At
the silver jubilee
celebrations of Chandramukhi
held on Saturday,
all the speakers showered
encomiums on the Superstar.
One after the other,
each special participant
recalled the glorious
qualities of the man
who is considered
to be the fulcrum
behind the big movie
business in
Kollywood.
It is clear that he
rejuvenated the industry’s
sagging spirit which
hit an all-time ebb
last year due to piracy.
The chief guest, Union
Minister, Dasari Narayana
Rao opined that there
was only one superstar
and that was Rajini
and Rajini alone. Directors
P.Vasu, Shankar, producers
Prabu and Ramkumar also
followed suit. The crowning
shot came from the next
in line for the coveted
title, Vijay, who declared
with great humility
that only Rajini can
be called the superstar
and he was the guru
for several generations
of actors. An obviously
moved
Rajinikanth
thanked everyone and
said that he was especially
happy to see Vijay share
the dais with him.
