They
are hardly away from the spotlight, or is it the
media that refuses to take the spotlight anywhere
else. But then the poor media cannot be blamed,
they will be where the news is, and the Bachchan
family seems to be one place where the news never
ends. Very shortly Aishwarya Rai will become Aishwarya
Bachchan. Then we will have to start a 24 hour
Bachchan news channel.
Enough of kidding; what is it this time? This
time it is about Amitabh, Abhishek, Amar Singh,
Vidhu Vinodh Chopra, a Rolls Royce and a Bentley.
What is it with these big men and the big cars?
It is just that Amitabh Bachchan has a fancy for
cars and Vidhu Vinodh Chopra decided to gift him
one for his stellar performance in the soon releasing
Ekalavya. Finally, Amitabh realized his long time
ambition of owning a Rolls Royce. Congrats Amitabh
ji. That was the good news.
Abhishek celebrated his 31st birthday on the 5th
of February and received the biggest gift of his
life; A Bentley. Everyone thought that the gift
was made by dad Amitabh. But the car has now run
into rough waters (roads). It seems that the car,
which has a Delhi registration plate, does not
have all the required papers in order. Then Amitabh
disclosed that he had not gifted the Bentley.
The gift had actually been made by Amar Singh
(who keeps repeating that he is not pushing Amitabh
to enter politics). Now things have to be set
right; they will be in a matter of days.
It seems to be a time in the lives of the Bachchan
family when, try as they may, they just cannot
stay away from the news. As the saying goes, ‘Any
publicity is good publicity’. |
