At the end of the 2nd weekend, lets see how Superstar Rajini's Lingaa compares with the two declared blockbusters of this year till date - Kaththi and Velai Illa Pattathari. The comparison is based on Behindwoods weekly Chennai city box-office estimates. The data isn't official.

While Lingaa (Dec 12th) and VIP (July 18th) released on a Friday, Kaththi (Oct 22nd) released on a Wednesday. Here we present to you the Chennai city gross estimates of these movies after their respective 2nd weekends, and also their 2nd weekend Chennai city show counts

Lingaa - 5,34,98,496, 2nd weekend shows - 270

Kaththi - 5,32,40,818, 2nd weekend shows - 306

VIP - 4,05,48,759, 2nd weekend shows - 279

As we can see, Lingaa scores highest in terms of gross collections, while Kaththi has the highest 2nd weekend show count among the three.
