Jigarthanda is turning out to be a blockbuster

Jigarthanda has opened to extremely positive reviews and the first week's performance at the TN box-office has also been creditable. This being the case, the film is turning out to be a solid blockbuster in the US with the gross already being close to 128,000 USD (around 78 lakhs) as per trusted sources.

 

With more locations being added for the second week and existing locations holding on very well, the expectations from the trade are that Jigarthanda may gross anywhere between 180,000 to 200,000 USD (1.1 to 1.2 crores) in the US by the end of its run.

 

Given its cost and investment for its stakeholders, Jigarthanda's performance in the US is said to be truly praiseworthy.
