Actor Vishal took a strong stand defending his comments on the Nadigar Sangam’s inaction during the Vishwaroopam controversy and also on previous occasions. He was given 10 days to reply to the notice sent by the institution and Vishal had duly obliged. It is believed that he has written to them saying that he had no intentions of insulting or demeaning the institution but indicated that it was miscommunication and misunderstanding of his statements that has earned him a notice from the Nadigar Sangam.

Officials from the Nadigar Sangam though seem miffed about the fact that Vishal chose to go straight to the press with his defense, rather than talking to them directly and treating it as an internal matter. They also refuted claims made by Vishal that they did not intervene when the actor had lodged a complaint on his non-payment by the producer of Samar. They say that Vishal was requested to provide evidence for the same, but is yet to get back to them.

The officials claim that they are yet to go through Vishal’s reply and are of the view that the actor could have handled the situation better.
