The latest news emerging from Bala’s camp with regard to Paradesi is that JSK Film Corporation has acquired the distribution rights of the film for about 9 crores. JSK Film Corporation has been associating itself with interesting films of late, such as Aarohanam and Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom.

Contrary to earlier reports, it is believed that the overseas rights are yet to be sold as the film will be sent to the Cannes Film Festival. The release date though has been fixed for March 15^th. It is also heard that Bollywood film maker Anurag Kashyap, who was highly impressed with the film, will be releasing the film in the North with about 50 plus prints that will carry English and Hindi subtitles.
