The 4-year-old biological daughter of Wesley and Sini Mathews, adoptive parents of the deceased Sherin Mathews (whose body was recovered from a culvert where her father left her, thinking she had choked to death) was taken away from them by the Texas Child Protection Services. The custody of the girl has now been given to her relative. The parents are currently jailed for their crimes. The next hearing for the custody of their daughter will take place on November 29.
