WHATSAPP GETS TWO NEW FEATURES: ‘DISMISS AS ADMIN’ AND ‘HIGH PRIORITY NOTIFICATIONS’

Messaging application WhatsApp has added ‘High Priority Notifications’ feature to its Android beta version users to allow them to pin the incoming notifications to the top of the phone’s notification centre.

The feature is available for private as well as group chats. The messaging app has also launched ‘Dismiss as Admin’ option for its iOS and web apps users, which lets group admins demote other admins without removing them from the group. Earlier, group admins can only be removed to be demoted.
