According to reports, Union Minister of State for Health Ashwini Kumar Choubey announced that the location for AIIMS in Tamil Nadu will be decided in two months. Reportedly, the controversy in deciding a location for AIIMS comes after simultaneous protests to set it up in Madurai and Thanjavur. The Madurai bench of Madras High Court reportedly directed the Centre to finalise and announce the site by December 31 of this year.
