According to media reports, the parents of a 15-year-old rape survivor committed suicide on Sunday by consuming poison in Tirupur. The couple reportedly bought soft drinks and mixed poison in two of the bottles which the parents consumed. They fainted after consuming the soft drinks and before help arrived, the couple reportedly passed away. The girl has reportedly been handed over to a government approved home in Tirupur.
