S Balachandran, director of Area Cyclone Warning Centre, said that the low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is moving northwards and may lead to a gradual decrease in rainfall. Balachandran forecasted slight rainfall over the coastal regions of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Chennai will have a cloudy sky and a slight rainfall at some places.
