Japan to relax visa rules for Indians from January 1

The Japanese embassy on Tuesday reportedly said the visa norms for Indians to visit Japan will be simplified from January 1. In a move to benefit tourists and business persons, the country will issue multiple-entry-visa for a short-term stay. For multiple-entry visas, applicants are exempted from producing employment certificate and explanation letter stating the reason. Applicants who had travelled to Japan twice or more in the last year will be issued multiple-entry visas with a validity of 5 years maximum and stay of 90 days maximum.
