One of two men who were on a bike and tried to snatch a chain from a woman walking was caught by the public and got thrashed on Wednesday. The man riding the pillion escaped, while people got hold of the one who rode the bike. A video of the incident shows the man bleeding from the nose. The incident took place in Velachery Main Road near the Velachery Aquatic Complex. The public handed over the man to police who took him into custody.
