In a statement to the media, Krishnapriya, niece of VK Sasikala has said that the I-T raids and subsequent inquiry were routine, similar to the statement released by her brother Vivek Jayaraman, MD of Jaya TV.
Her statement contradicts that of her cousin TTV Dhinakaran who claimed that the raids were politically motivated; an attempt to oust him and his aunt Sasikala from politics.
Krishnapriya refused to divulge any more information as the inquiry was not over yet.
