TRUE STORY BEHIND THE VIRAL PHOTOS IN WHATSAPP ABOUT ALLEGED CHILD TRAFFICKERS

A 29-year-old man, Veeraraghavan R, was arrested on Friday, for spreading rumors about child traffickers through WhatsApp.

According to reports, the Anakkavoor Police, the man posted a video in WhatsApp saying that a group of North Indians was roaming in Tamil Nadu for kidnapping children.

Police suspected that the sharing of false information on social media platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp had triggered violence and attacks on innocent people in recent times.
