According to reports, in the next Assembly session, the Tamil Nadu government may pass a legislation which will allow patients to file cases against hospitals for not displaying the cost of diagnosis, treatment, and scans including MRI and CAT. The legislation will also apply to state-run hospitals and not just private hospitals.
