According to reports, thousands of dead fishes were washed ashore near Adyar on Tuesday. Most of the dead fishes were spotted on the shores of Besant Nagar and Pattinapakkam. Analysts say that the fishes might have died due to lack of oxygen as chemicals are being mixed into the rivers.
