Tamil Nadu opposition parties protest against dilution of SC/ST Act.

The opposition parties, led by DMK working president MK Stalin, on Monday held protests against the alleged dilution of the SC/ST (prevention of atrocities) Act in Chennai. VCK chief Thol Thirumavalavan and MDMK chief Vaiko participated in the protests. The Supreme Court earlier laid down fresh guidelines banning automatic arrests of persons accused of committing atrocities against Dalits.
