The Srilankan Airlines flight UL 121 from Columbo, landed in Chennai at 8.40 am on Sunday. The aircraft was carrying 142 passengers. While landing, the rear tyre burst. Luckily, none of the passengers was hurt. The situation is reportedly being taken care of now.

According to a few reports, the cause of the tyre burst is probably due to under-inflation of tyres and increased reuse of the tyres, causing fatigue in the material.
