A memorial for the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, J Jayalalithaa is to be built near MGR Memorial in Marina Beach. Reportedly, the TN government had first allocated Rs 43 crore and 63 lakh for the project in January. Recently, a contract has been signed with Krishnamurthy and Co Construction Company for a project worth Rs 48 crore. Once the agreement is finalised, the construction will begin.
