In a phone call with Puthiya Thalaimurai, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that helicopters have been rushed to the spot in Kurangani near Theni district where forest fire broke out on Sunday. She further said that rescue operation cannot be carried out at night in forest area due to poor visibility and helicopters will work towards extinguishing the fire in the area overnight. All medical help required for the injured have been kept ready, she further said.
